If there is one thing to criticize about Sony’s marketing strategy, it’s that most of their products don’t usually become available in most markets especially in the United States. And now that the company’s flagship smartphone for this year is nearing it’s launch, many people are wondering if they will be able to get the device without hassle this time instead of ordering it in online on third party stores.
Well today we bring good news to our friends over at Canada as Bell will be exclusively carrying the device, and is now available for pre-order and will be shipped at your doorstep come May 5th. The device will carry a $699.95 price tag and will also be available for $179.95 on a two year contract. And though the device is exclusive only to Bell Canada, Sony promised that an unlocked version will soon be available in Sony stores as well.
For a quick specs review, the Sony Xperia Z2 runs on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat and will feature a 5.2-inch Full HD IPS display with 1920 x 1080 resolution with Sony’s Live Color LED. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor clocked at 2.3GHz, sports 3GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card slot, a 20.7MP/2MP camera combo, and a 3,200mAh battery.
