Sony Releases Open Source Files For The Xperia Z1 Compact

When it comes to reaching out to the developer community, Sony is one of the more accessible Android OEMs out there. And the company has been releasing kernel source files one after another as of late with only a week margin ofter a device’s release or update. And now the source files for the newly released Xperia Z1 Compact has already been uploaded by Sony for all developers to play with.

The Xperia Z1 Compact has just been launched so it only have a handful of hacks for now like root, and a custom recovery. But now that the kernel source files is out, expect more developers to enter the fray and produce some custom kernels and ROMs soon. And to all developers out there, happy tweaking!
