Sony just sent out invitations for a press conference at the upcoming Mobile World Congress. And since there’s not much new devices surfacing from the company, we are guessing that it could be the unveiling of their next flagship device, Sirius. It is also important to note that the event will take place at February 24th, the same day Samsung is holding it’s Unpacked 5 event which we expect them to unveil the Galaxy S5.
For a quick round-up of all the news about the device, the Sony Sirius D6503 flagship smartphone is said to run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat and will feature a 5.2-inch display, with either a 2560 x 1440 or 1920 x 1080. The device is also said to pack a a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 MSM-8974-AB processor, an Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, a 20.7MP/2.1MP camera combo. Over at the software side, the Sirius looks to be a camera oriented device that features 4K video recording capability, glove mode, double-tap screen on feature, USB DAC support, and more.
