It seems like the era of 64-bit mobile computing has already started with several big-name manufacturers like Qualcomm, Huawei, MediaTek, and other companies already producing their own 64-bit chipsets, and the latest company to join the fray is Samsung.

The Korean company previously announced their interest to produce their own line of 64-bit Exynos processors last year, and according to the company’s vice president for LSI business, Kyushik Hong, the next generation processors are set to be launched later this year. He also said that they see this next generation processors as the next big thing, wether we need it or not right now. He also mentioned that the new processors will be ready whenever the operating systems and ecosystem go 64-bit.
