We’ve talked about it a lot before, and we’ll talked about it again. Smartphone manufacturers are getting into the habit of producing follow up color options to their popular smartphones as a marketing strategy to increase their sales count.
And before the Samsung Galaxy S4 hands over it’s ‘flagship crown’ to the much awaited Galaxy S5, a follow-up black edition of the device has been announced. Aside from the jet black color, the black edition S4 features a black faux leather back cover that you can see from other Galaxy devices such as the Galaxy Grand 2, Galaxy Note 3, and the Galaxy Note 3 Neo.
The Black Edition S4 is based on the I9505 variant, so it uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor. The rest of the specs includes a 5-inch full HD screen, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, a 13MP camera, and a 2,600mAh battery.
The Black Edition S4 Mini on the other hand features a 4.3-inch qHD screen, powered by a dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor, 1.5GB RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, 8MP camera, a 1,900mAh battery.
The Galaxy S4 Black Edition will be available in Russia next month with a $660 price tag, while the Galaxy S4 mini Black Edition will be priced at $460. No word yet as to wether both devices will be available in other markets, but we’ll keep you updated.
