Samsung has applied for this design patent before, which led us to think that it would eventually be what the Galaxy Note 3 would look like. And now that the Note 3 has been out for several months now, it’s obvious that the design patent was meant for another Samsung flagship device.
And now Samsung is making us think again as they have applied the same design patent again to the US Patent and Trademark Office, but this time, we expect to see it on the Galaxy Note 4.. And as to why we didn’t include the possibility of the design being used on the Galaxy S5, is because the patent shows an S-Pen slot, which we all know can can only be seen on the Galaxy Note series of devices.
