Watch out LG fans, as today marks the day that we start talking about the LG G2’s successor – the G3.
According to industry sources in Korea, LG is currently in the process of testing a G3 prototype that’s equipped with fingerprint scanner. “LG has recently made a decision to adopt the fingerprint scanner on the upcoming G3, and is conducting a series of tests for the product.” said an official close to the matter. The official also added that this fingerprint scanning technology will be using a swipe fingerprint sensor instead of an area-type sensor that we can see in the iPhone 5s.
We have also reported yesterday what LG’s next flagship device will have under the hood and that could very well be what we’ll see in the G3. A 5.5-inch IPS LCD panel with 2560×1440 (Quad HD) display, a 16MP camera, octa-core processor developed by the company itself, and now a fingerprint scanner. A .3-inch increase in size also indicates that there will be a bigger battery in the G3 which is great considering the demanding display that the G3 will have.
What do you think of this mock-up specs? Will this be enough to upgrade your already awesome G2’s? Let us know in the comments below.
