Petition – Google: Update the Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.4 “Kitkat”

Ok here is something i was sure it would happen. Last week Google announced the new Android version 4.4, with the code name KitKat.  Also announced which of the Nexus Devices will get the KitKat update. Unfortunately the Galaxy Nexus was not in the list.

Google said that the Galaxy Nexus has passed over the 18 month support period and that’s why it won’t get the Android 4.4. KitKat. We must not forget that until now many consumers purchased the Nexus devices because Google offered a non-delayed and a long-way support.

So Max Duckwitz, started a Petition in website, asking Google to update the Galaxy Nexus with latest Android 4.4 “KitKat” as well.

If you are interesting, you can sign the petition here. By the time i write this article, there are already 17,156 supporters.

We hope that Google will change its mind, and finally will be release the KitKat update for the Galaxy Nexus also, or else we can’t see any obvious reason for someone to buy a nexus device again, since in one way or another, all devices can have a Pure Android experience.
