The image you see below comes from the well known Twitter account @evleaks and shows Nokia Normandy, the first – as the leaker suggests- Android smartphone from Nokia, despite the fact that they have been acquired by Microsoft.
Nokia Normandy is – according to rumors so far- a low end model like the Asha family models, that will run on a tailor made forked edition of Android, like the one Amazon uses for Kindle Fire. The Verge moves even more and insists that Normandy will pack several Android apps, like Skype and it will become available sometime in 2014! Obviously, given the fact that Nokia has reached an agreement with Microsoft for the buyout we are almost certain that Microsoft will not allow for something like this. But if we are wrong and Microsoft accepts, then everything is open in the technology market!Q
