LG Nexus 5 – a formidable gaming smartphone

Rightware’s Power Board compiles and stores benchmark databases and has just placed Google’s Nexus 5 as the second best gaming smartphone behind the Apple’s iPhone 5s.
On the Basemark X gaming graphics performance test Nexus 5 scored an 14.27, the iPhone 5s 15.54. Samsung Galaxy S4 is only fourth with a measly 8.20.

gaming-phone-showdownIf these benchmarks are to be trusted, Nexus 5 is a great gaming smartphone, packing a 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad core processor, a 4.95-inch full HD display, 8mp camera with OIS, Android 4.4 Kit-Kat OS and 2GB of RAM. In terms of performance and affordable price of $349, this is the Android device to beat. Competitors may need to take some notes on how to make high-end smartphones the general population can afford.

    What about note 3? (S9505)

Yeah, ok. I have hard time understanding that a tiny device is better than a larger display for gaming. Why is not 3 not on the list? It’s faster than S4, Nexus 5 and has twice the screen of iPhone!
And then some unknown Sharp phone is there?
