Latest Galaxy S5 Update Includes Camera And Fingerprint Scanner Improvements

Samsung is now rolling out it’s first update for the Samsung Galaxy S5 for this month. And apart from the usual stability patches and what not, this update that is currently rolling out in the United Kingdom includes important improvements in the camera and fingerprint scanning department.

To be more specific, this update that will soon roll out to other regions as well includes a faster camera and gallery app that should bring more joy to users who felt that their camera and gallery transitions when opening are a bit slow. The update also includes improvements to the accuracy of the fingerprint scanner.

If you are an advanced Android user, you can also flash the firmware for your SM-G900F device if you can’t wait for the OTA update for your region to roll out. The firmware will change your build number to XXU1ANE2, and has a changelist of 1539356. You can download the firmware on either SamMobile or Samsung-Updates, both of which the most trusted to download official Samsung firmwares from. And like we always say, make sure to have enough bettery on your device before installing something software related on your device. Happy flashing!
