Well it looks like that after these sort of blurred images of HTC’s new M8 flagship that we saw a couple of weeks ago we now have more info regarding the device from – who else?- the well know Twitter account @evleaks!
According to the aforementioned source, HTC M8 will pack a 5 inch display with full HD support (1080p) and will run on Android 4.4 OS. It will pack a Snapdragon 800 SoC with 4 cores and 2 or 3 GB of RAM. Unfortunately these are today’s specs so by the time this M8 is unveiled other smartphones will be even more powerful unfortunately. Let’s not forget that in 2014 we will be seeing new SoCs and full 64bit support in major Android models so HTC will not have an advantage over them.
Obviously we don’t know yet if this M8 smartphone is HTC’s new flagship or whether it’s going to replace HTC One with a new improved edition. In this case then HTC might have a winner here since this upgrade is more than welcomed from all avid users. However the company will have to try REALLY hard in order to unveil a new device that will face Samsung’s S5 smartphone that’s scheduled to make an early 2014 appearance!
