HTC explains why it’s taking so long to offer Android updates

It’s one of the most important complaints all Android users have from their manufacturing companies, especially when old smartphones like my Nexus 4 for example already have Android 4.4.2 and flagship models like HTC One for example are still running on Android 4.2 or 4.3.

HTC wanted to explain once and for all what’s happening with the Android update procedure and also inform all of its customers when their model will probably be updated to the latest Android version. That’s why they uploaded this webpage after all. There you can find more info regarding a lot of HTC devices like HTC One, One Max, One Mini, One X/X+ and others. As you can understand the whole update procedure is very complicated since HTC creates 5 different update stages: evaluation, development, integration, test/certification, push to customer! In any case it’s really interesting and you should have a look to better know what’s happening.
