We have first seen Grippity as a transparent keyboard that seeks to give mobility and easier typing for computer users. And now it is making a return and this time, as a full-fledged Android powered tablet and of course, transparent.
But we may not see Grippity materialize in your local or online store in the near future yet, as it’s still an on-going project seeking funding on Kickstarter.
Grippity creators, Jacob Eichbaum from Tel Aviv, are looking to raise $199,000 by January 24th. And with 29 days to go, it’s looking to be more of a Ubuntu Edge kind of dream for now. A pledge of $159 or more will get you one of the tablets with an expected shipping date of October 24th.
Looking at the specs, Grippity will feature a a two-sided transparent 7″ LCD touchscreen with 800×480 resolution as it’s most distinctive feature. It will be running on a Cortex A8 ARM based processor with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage expandable via a microSD slot. If you’re interested in supporting Grippity, just head over to their Kickstarter page to make a pledge.
