Gionee Announces It’s Latest FLagship Smartphone That Packs Some Monster Specs

By tradition, most flagship smartphones are being launched by the second to third quarter of each year. But today, Chinese manufacturer Gionee has just announced it’s latest flagship smartphone – the Elife E7, in which the company labeled as the best Android cameraphone available in the market. Call it late, but it packs some impressive specs.

The Elife E7 sports a 5.5-inch JDI display at 1920 x 1080 resolution, which totals at 401ppi that is quite sharp for any standard. The E7’s display is also protected with Corning’s latest Gorilla Glass 3.

Moving on with the specs, the Gionee Elife E7 is powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Krait 400 processor on a Snapdragon 800 chipset. The LTE variant will be the first smartphone to globally sport a 2.5 GHz Krait 400 CPU. The E7 with 16GB of internal storage will also feature 2GB of RAM, while the 32GB model will have 3GB of RAM. Both variants will be packing a 2,500mAh non-removable battery.

And to justify their claim as the best Android cameraphone, the Elife E7 packs a 16 megapixels of higher than the usual 1.34 µm size, and 8 megapixel on the front. The camera’s primary lens is based on the Largan M8 solution that is said to deliver very sharp images.

The Elife E7 will be running on AMIGO 2.0 – a heavily skinned Android OS. It has a wide range of customized applications to enhance the overall performance and experience.

The Gionee Elife E7 will be available starting December 5 in Black, White, Blue, Pink, Green, Yellow and Orange. The 16 GB variant will be priced at 2,699 Yuan (about $443), while the 32 GB model is at 3,199 Yuan (about $525). The E7 will also be available outside of China in early 2014.
