It looks like the Canadian firm is going through some difficult times and is constantly changing CEOs in order to find the best way to proceed with its future in the mobile phone industry.
Roger Martin is the last member of the Board that resigned his place (he was in Blackberry since 2007) but the removal of COO (Chief Operating Officer), CMO (Chief Marketing Officer) and CFO (Chief Financial Officer) of Blackberry were much more important the past couple of months.
John Chen, Blackberry’s current CEO, expressed his thanks for all the efforts of the previous members of the Board and mentioned that he intends to work closer with Blackberry’s talented engineers and sales representatives to reverse the situation and make Blackberry the company it once was. Don’t forget that all of these come just a couple of weeks after the failed attempt to be acquired by Fairfax! Still the fund did give 1$ billion to Blackberry as a way to boost its performance, so we will just wait and see what happens.
