BlackBerry Is Very Much Alive – Says CEO

BlackBerry CEO John Chen has been on the CEO position recently, a month to be precise, but his intention is clear in his bold statement that BlackBerry isn’t going anywhere. And to further justify that sentiment, Chen issued today an open letter to the company’s enterprise customers saying “Our ‘for sale’ sign has been taken down and we are here to stay.”

Chen also stated that enterprise will be a leading focus for BlackBerry in the months and years to come.

“We’re going back to our heritage and roots, delivering enterprise-grade, end-to-end mobile solutions.” But the company isn’t getting out of the hardware business, as Chen also confirmed that handsets will be among BlackBerry’s main target areas. “reports of our death are greatly exaggerated,” added Chen. He also addressed that the company is “in the game for the long term.”

Though BlackBerry has been on the struggle lately, they have clearly sent the message that they are definitely aiming to go back on top fronted by their new CEO’s enthusiasm.
