Just a month ago, BlackBerry had made a deal with several Android OEMs where BBM will come as the default IM app for their upcoming devices. And today the company has made another deal but this time, with a major player in the mobile world – LG.
According to BlackBerry’s press release, The G Pro Lite will be the first LG device to come with BBM pre-installed in it.
“People across the globe are using BBM to connect with each other and the enthusiasm has been phenomenal,” said Andrew Bocking, Executive Vice President for BBM at BlackBerry. “We’re extremely pleased that LG Electronics will help bring their customers a more seamless experience with BBM by preloading the app, starting with the G Pro Lite in key markets.”
BlackBerry, with their fall out of the smartphone market, found new success in porting BBM to several platforms. And this deal with LG only adds to BBM’s momentum as a contender for one of the best multi-platform instant messaging app available today.
If you haven’t tried BBM for Android yet, here’s the PlayStore Link.
