We’ve talked about how Samsung takes months to update their devices before, which is fairly understandable as the company supports a long list of devices and offers a lot of features on the software. Speaking of late, non-international varaints usually takes longer to get the update. And while no US variant of the Galaxy S4 has been updated to Android 4.4 KitKat yet, it looks like the Sprint version will be th first one to get the update as Samsung just made the Android 4.4 KitKat source files for the device available on it’s open source center.
Sprint hasn’t made a statement yet as to when they will start rolling out the KitKat update for the device. And like we always say to all developers whenever a new source is out, happy tweaking!
